  So the third time is not-so-much a charm! And I haven't even been in the door yet! I used their web form: no reply. I contacted the email supplied on their website: no reply. Thinking maybe there was a technical issue, I called. I had a coupon for a free new patient experience and wanted to get started as I have a few things I want to take care of this year (and purchased dental insurance to do so). Evidently my coupon was old and "expired" but there was no date on it. They would not honor it!
  
  I just figured they do this all the time, so it didn't need a date. I've heard of this marketing approach before and didn't think anything of it. Instead, I was shuffled around (which I understand if I'm asking about something they no longer do, but I was unaware of that) and felt awkward when someone higher up was put on the line. They tried to convince me that it was okay because my insurance would cover that appointment. But I explained that I knew I would need dental work and wanted to maximize my yearly limit for my dental plan. A free first visit would certainly help with that! So in light of that when I asked if they would or would not honor the "welcome card," I was disappointed that they would not (and they seem to have good reviews). I'm kind of a stickler for honoring things!
  
  I'm sure they're great people, but just didn't handle this opportunity well. To start off with no return communication - TWICE - and then not even consider honoring something that they put in writing as part of their marketing efforts? That leaves a bad taste in the mouth of a communications professional and a former marketing VP (ironically in the dental industry) and potential client!
